SootServ was previously named “Ruston Chimney Sweep” based out of Ruston, Louisiana, where it was started in September of 2018. The name change of Ruston Chimney Sweep to SootServ occurred in the Spring of 2020. SootServ’s employees go through a thorough training period that ensures they are properly educated and practiced before they are sent to your home. Our chimney sweep services in Louisiana will take a maximum of 1 hour per chimney. In some severe cases, the service could take around 1.5 hours to complete.

The customer does NOT have to be present during the cleaning. If you plan to not be present during the cleaning, you must leave instructions on how to enter the house and the location of the fireplace(s) in the “Special Instructions” box during scheduling.

We will take care of any ash that is in the fireplace upon arrival and leave it spotless afterward.

Your chimney sweeper will contact you upon arrival if no one is home to answer the door. Please leave any special instructions that the chimney sweeper may need to reach your home aside from your address in the “Special Instructions” box during scheduling (Gate Code, Alternate Entrance, etc.).
